  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Yeah, I don't know how to link a single post so i just url'd the entire page. you seem to be more proficient at html codes then I am.

Ah it's no big deal just helping when I can. Every post has a little number in the upper-right hand corner, on the same line as the time of the post. Those post-numbers are relative to the thread you're viewing/posting in. If you right-click on that number and then click "copy link address" or "copy link" (depending on your browser), that will give you a link that opens that specific post. Paste that in your new post, or even better, click on the little globe/chainlink icon above (it only shows up when you're creating or editing a post), and it will ask you for the link and the description of the link and it will format the link in semi-UBB (the format that's sorta used on this forum).

My favorite rims on this forum for sure! Does it rub like newgen2015 reported?

Edit: figured I would add the url to his post
http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=14416&page=43

Thanks man! And nope! Have not rubbed once since I've had them. And to be completely honest the drop is really not that drastic. I think it's just enough to give the car a sportier appearance. There is a a pretty good gap still present between fender and tire but it doesn't show because that area is all dark. It's a good compromise for this type of car and the ride is still very smooth.

Here's 3 more I took today since the weather is much nicer.

I wonder why newgen2015 was rubbing..maybe he received defective springs or something.

I'm glad you you put that vinyl on the trim it looks mean as hell, any thoughts on tinting the tail lights? Wish I was given the 18's with the v8 so I could justify buying rims before I wear out the oem tires.I Might have to make a youtube vid of me burning tires to hurry the process along lol jk.

Thanks man with me it's about the details when it comes to modding. Anybody can throw rims on a car but I like to tweek things for a more cohesive look overall. I've done it with every car I've owned. I actually like the tails although I do wish they were smoked just a tad.. But I like them for the most part so they will stay. My next project if I ever get around to it is to have a 2nd projector retrofitted into the headlights. I really hate that space beside the headlight and it needs a projector bad (like the euro and kdm Genesis). I can completely understand wanting to keep the 19s.. They totally change the look of the car and look great. I couldn't wait to get the 18s off my car lol, I think the Genesis is too big a car for 18s personally but I couldn't justify the V8 just for better wheels. If I had the 19s there's a chance mine would still be stock right now.

Rear end looks nice! I really need to debadge the lower trunk when it warms up some this weekend.

Thanks! And yea removing the Genesis and engine size really cleans up the rear of the car. I think the badge looks good enough to stand on its own back there.

I want to change the color of my trim too now that I see how good it looks. I wonder if my car will be too dark though. Its already darker gray, dark wheels, dark tint. The black trim would just make the car too dark I think. But it looks so cool!

No way dude. It would give it that blacked out look. I would totally go for it. Expecially with those sweet dark rims.

Like Hemp said go for it! I think it would look even better on a darker colored car like yours. It makes the window line more aggressive because it will blend with the windows versus the separation that the chrome strip creates.

Did you do yours yourself? Fairly easy to apply the 3M?

I could have but I don't think I would have the patience for with my work schedule. I'm military and work from around 5am until 6 or 7 pm if not later. I had a local shop here do it. I think I paid around 350 for it but it comes with lifetime warranty if anything starts to peel or fade they will fix it. It took the shop pretty much an entire day to complete it but he says it was due to him being meticulous.

Tsw amaroo? 20's? Yeah man she looking hot, I like the drop too. you don't have to worry about rubbing at all with those babies. Nice touch with that v8 btw

Thanks. I was super-concerned about rubbing, perhaps too concerned. If I knew it wouldn't rub I would have gone with a higher front offset. The wheels are 20x9 up front and 20x10 in the rear. Front tires are 255/35 and rear are 285/30. I'm still not as floored with the look as I thought I would be; still second-guessing if I should have gone with the Ace Devotions. At least the Amaroos are a 2 piece wheel which somewhat increases the repairability potential.

Your car looks awesome Aquineas even though its white :D... Just kidding, those wheels really make a huge different in the appearance of the car. Well done

Thanks! I think I need to figure out to get more offset on the front to match the rear; I just hate the idea of spending another $800 and being stuck with two wheels which I can't do anything with. As much as I'd hate to admit this (which I really don't since Montecito Blue was my second color choice), those wheels would look gorgeous with Montecito Blue.
