Start with your headlamp assembly upside down, to access the panel from below.

Please see below for where the particular wire should be placed:
This wire travels very short, from a PCB to a connector.
Note that this is easier to run the wire if you take the connector out of its place first (rotate then push it down inwards)

Look very carefully. This is upside down. You must remove the green plastic that holds these pins in positions before attempting to insert a new pin into its position.
Observe the other pins and their locations so you do not mistake the pin position of interest with something else:

On the PCB side: Disconnect the connector --> pry out the cover that holds wires firm --> Place new wire into the hole indicated:

    I hope this helps.

How hard is it to remove the front bumper to access the lights?

I'd happily settle for the brighter LED's when in manual driving light mode.

I have been working on this and a relatively simple semi fix is available for US cars. As reported in this thread, a wire is missing in the connector on US versions. Unfortunately, there is NOT a wire on the corresponding plug on US versions like the Canadian version. By removing the center brown wire and moving it to the empty spot on the connector, the parking lights will then be the brighter version of the lights. The only caveat is that you must turn on the parking lights but it is awesome to have the bright LED eyebrows.

Any chance you can document this for the less mechanically inclined? Pics would be nice if anyone successfully does this. I am assuming the pics above are for having it work in DRL mode.

It will NOT work in DRL mode on US vehicles. There is a wire missing in the wire harness that attaches to the headlight.

Yes, I know. I am looking for the brighter LED in manual driving light mode.

My solution is what you want..the hardest part is getting the headlights out of the car to switch the wires..you must remove the front bumper cover..sounds hard but in reality just takes a little time..pretty easy job overall...once the brown wire is switched to the empty terminal space, the parking lights are bright, not dim.
