    I also had this issue yet after a cold start problem, the dealer found some codes in the ECU and did a reflash of the ECU. It made a tremendous difference in the overall drivability of the car. Runs great now!

    I am also becoming increasingly concerned about the "rolling stop" delay that has many of us frustrated when the car is in automatic mode. I have developed a similar fear of pulling out in traffic after a quick near stop and go. I am never certain when and how much power I will get when I take off.

    Just an observation to add to this discussion. I put the tranny in Shiftronic mode and geared up to 6th or 7th and allowed the car to slow to a stop. During this time I watched the gear numbers automatically scroll down as the car slowed. Curiously the tranny drops automatically down thru each gear but skips 2nd gear every time. Just drops from 3rd to 1st first when you slow to 3 mph or so. That doesn't seem normal to me, but I guess may be by design.

    I wonder if the tranny is doing the same thing in auto mode...just skipping from 3rd to 1st? Maybe that's the cause of the hesitation. I think the car is still in 3rd at the near stop. Perhaps if it would go to 2nd at 3 mph it wouldn't pause to think about what gear it's looking for when power is applied.

    Any thoughts?

    I have the same hesitation issue with my 2012 Genesis Sedan 3.8 that everyone is experiencing from a rolling stop or accelerating from a lane change. I have had my my car since December '11 and love this car but this one issue is enough for me to consider trading it in, as this is just plain DANGEROUS. I had a Sonata Turbo prior to this car and had no such issue EVER.
    I thought before I move away from Hyundai, I would see if anyone has experienced this with the 5.0 Sedan?

    See my post earlier in this thread. I have had no issues with hesitation after 12,000 miles in my 5.0 engine.
    2012 R-Spec, Black, Tinted, Wings - Rear, Wheels, Steering Wheel.

    I had a similar hesitation problem when starting from a rolling start. The dealer could not duplicate the problem so he had a Platinum Certified Mechanic ride with me. After 2 blocks, he noticed that I was driving with both feet. He said I may be touching the brake pedal and the gas pedal at the same time, sending mixed signals to the computer. I planted my left foot on the floor and drove with only my right foot, and I haven't had the problem since. Operator error!

    I walk on all 4s... driving with two feet shouldnt be that difficult

    next question why am i replacing breaks every 10-15k miles

    and why am i calling it breaks instead of brakes

    It did not occur to me that some people would not understand the phrase 'driving with two feet'. If you are old enough, you will remember that we all used to drive that way. And for you people that have trouble understanding English, we used our left foot on the clutch and our right foot on the accelerator or the brakes. Since there is not a clutch pedal on automatics, I was using my left foot to activate the brakes and my right foot on the accelerator. I did not 'ride' the brakes, but apparently I sometimes had not completely removed my left foot from the brakes before I hit the accelerator with my right foot.

    ...Just trying to help....
