For those with the ivory interior how does it hold up? Is it easy to keep clean. I am looking at a Montecito blue withoivory interior. I have had black in the past.

I've delt with the ivory interior in mine for almost 4 months now. I have the joy of also having a 4 year old son who always wants to ride in daddy's car. How tolerant of the ivory's quirks you will be is directly related to how OCD you are about keeping the car clean. In short, it's easy to clean but you are going to be doing so VERY frequently.

My thoughts are as follows:

1) It's destinctive and beautiful. So many people have dark interiors that ivory really looks unique regardless of the car make and model.

2) In my opinion hyundai did this 100% correctly. The only surfaces which are ivory are the leather ones. All the carpeted areas are black. Having owned cars where light interiors came with light carpets I can tell you that is a nightmare. The flooring surfaces should always be black.

3) The leather is very easy to clean with the correct products. I personally use and swear by Griot's Garage "interior cleaner" for everyday and their leather specific products for a few times a month. I keep the interior cleaner and some cloths in my trunk.

3) Ivory shows all the dirt and grime that would normally be hidden by dark interior. Every time my son rides in the car I must wipe down several of the surfaces near where he sits in the car after he gets out because I can't stand the look of dirt/dust/footprints on the ivory surfaces.

4) I had to put a towel underneath his car seat or else every time he climbs in and out of it he leaves scary looking footprints on the Ivory leather.

5) Ivory is the only interior with the Matte Finish Black Ash Wood, another item which makes the car more unique. Ivory is also only available with the ultimate package.

I love the ivory and have no regrets, even though I would go crazy if I did not carry cleaning supplies in my trunk. Maybe my OCD will taper off after i've had the car longer. It still has new car smell. :)

Hope this helps.

I was a little worried about the interior as some mentioned the interior was stained from blue jeans at the auto show. I wear blue jeans every day and never have I seen any discolouration. I have older kids (20-30) and to be honest I have yet to need to clean the interior leather since I got it back in Aug. Still looks like new. Awesome color, love it.

4 1/2 months and looks perfect. Just my wife and I use the car and are neatniks. The black carpeting is wonderful compared to the light beige I had in my Mercedes which was a nightmare to keep up. I have had the car detailed twice which helps.

I had the same concerns as the OP but after 5 months I love it. On one occasion I did a quick wipe down of a very small area that got dirty. It cleaned easily with plain water, no soap. I will likely have it cleaned every 6 months just to keep it in top condition. I should mention I live in Los Angeles and don't live in a snow town.

To summarize the interior is not at all difficult to keep clean and I would recommend it unless you get lots of snow where you live. I have Ibiza but the ivory with Montecito Blue would have a striking appearance.

I have the Montecito Blue with Beige interior which is a tad darker than Ivory and it holds up very well. I use a leather conditioner on it that works well. I have had zero issues with staining from blue jeans or any other fabric.

A little advice.... New blue jeans can leave blue marks. All you need to do unfortunally is wash them first, then you will have no problems. Overall it cleans real well and gives the car a respected high end look and feel. I love it!!!

I have the Montecito Blue with gray interior & it also is holding up well. I have a 3.8 Tech Package with AWD.

Ivory interior helped seal the deal for me, it is that nice. As others mentioned the black floor and steering will help preserve the crisp look. Even though the leather is soft it does appear to have a "top coat" on it so it should clean up nicely. I'm more concerned about the light colored matte finish plastic parts being difficult to clean.

PLEASE HELP!!

I've had my Ibiza Blue Genesis for 2 weeks now and I have realized that there are scratches on on the passenger side center console. The scratches are coming from the metal from the seatbelt hitting the center console as people are trying to find the clicker. I've tried to wipe it off with some automotive cleaner but its not coming off. Please could somebody recommend something I could try and get them scratches off?

Thank You

I've had my genesis with ivory interior for a little over a week and noticed some blue on my seat from my jeans (that had been washed before).

I plan to clean the seats soon so hopefully it comes out.

A good conditioner should help reduce this. A seat cover covering the middle is advisable

I've had my beige interior for almost a year and it's holding up perfect. Haven't had to do a thing to the leather. The best part of a beige interior (vs. black) is it stays cool during the warmer months. You don't bake your back when you get in.

Montecito w/ivory here.

seat covers like new after 2 years, 6 days

and not a single problem otherwise

Some jeans with cheap dyes will continue to stain even after being washed.
