Well enjoy driving the car for three years while you WATCH. And for all these so called PROBLEMS, theres a real easy fix, take it to the dealer and let them deal with it. No different than having an MB or BMW:D

successful the first time on the garage door linking and I have no complaints whatsoever except for the ESC control. 3 years...you must have patience leaking out your ears! I don't and I am "having fun" showing off my ride from the mall parking lot to the streets ;)

Just last night, a younger couple approached my wife and I at SAMS in Huntsville asking if we were driving an Aston Martin. :p:p:p

I love it...but I hate your not experiencing that!:(

Provided the economy stabilizes I'll bet the 4.6 will cost alot more in 3 years and that the 09 models will hold their value extremely well!
 
I agree with PINGGOLF, "What Problems?" Just drove 1200 enjoyable mile to Texas without glitch one, and did it at about 27 MPG at 70+ a good deal of the way.

I can live with these "problems"!!

I agree...I used to own (in a past life) a Chrysler product. Talk about problems....

Poopster should find a forum that suits him. This one does not. He's (assuming male, of course) made disparaging remarks in the past regarding the use and/or ownership of a Hyundai, and Genesis in particular. He doesn't own a Genesis (by his own admission). Why is he a part of this group called "Genesis Owners"? The intellect typically represented here doesn't stoop that low. I was pleased to review this site for about 2 weeks prior to purchasing to gather honest and useful information on the new model. Now that I've owned the car since August, I'm appreciative of the quality of the site--and more importantly, the FIRST-HAND knowledge of the car--because I, like so many others here, OWN one! Folks like him degrade the quality.

My thoughts for the day...

Doesn't matter whether the economy stabilizes or not. Hyundai is buying market share as a start-up cost, and they cannot sell the Genesis at these low prices forever. The Genesis is selling for the equivalent of $57,000 in Korea, which has sparked a grey-market where people are buying them from US dealers and importing them into back into Korea.

The Lexus LS was launched in 1989 with a similar pricing strategy and early buyers/leasers got tremendous trade-in values or residual values so low it was profitable to buy out the lease and "flip" the car. I remember doing the former and if the G catches on might be able to do the latter 26 months from now.
