  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I contacted Hyundai and they directed me to this website. I never new this site existed.

Here is a snap shot showing what is new on the 2014 Genesis for those who wanted to know.

NEW FEATURES:

For 2014, all Genesis 3.8 models come standard with 18-inch alloy wheels and a more efficient electro-hydraulic power steering system. The high performance Genesis 5.0 R-Spec adds a heated steering wheel for driver comfort, and a new Santiago Silver exterior color replaces Platinum Metallic.

•Electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS) – Standard on 3.8

•18-inch alloy wheels – Standard on 3.8

•Heated Steering wheel – available on 5.0 R-Spec

•Auto-dimming outside mirror – included in 3.8 Technology package

•Auto defogger windshield – included in 3.8 Technology package

•Ultra-premium leather – included in 3.8 Premium package

•New Santiago Silver metallic replaces Platinum Metallic

I remember someone was asking the question regarding the differences between the two model years. I searched but could not find your post so I thought I would start a new one.

Thanks for the Hyundai link. I noticed that both the 2013 and 2014 Genesis pages had the 2009 Nav unit manual. Oops!. The video tutorial shows the use of the Smartkey slot that doesn't exist on the 2013 and 2014 models. This type of oversight is all too typical of Hyundai. The MyHyundai manuals page for my car has a manual PDF that is incorrect. Fortunately my printed copy is the updated version.

Thanks for the heads up SR22pilot for the novice future Genesis buyer here. I did not know that the information wasn't correct. Have seen a lot of issues regarding mis-information being listed on various Hyundai publications.

Something so simple as paying attention to detail sure makes one wonder what else they are not paying attention to.
