In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Checked out a 3.8 base 2015 model today at the dealer. The eyelash LED lights are the parking lights, as well as the turn signal lights. They are AMBER. These amber LEDs come on only in the parking light and headlight settings, or when signaling a turn. The DRL lamps are warm WHITE, not amber, and only illuminate when the parking or headlight setting is off. The DRLs can also now be switched off during daylight running. The high beam is in the same housing as the DRL lamp, just as in the outgoing generation Genesis. They sit inward of the headlights, close to the grill.

It is possible that the lighting for higher end models is different. Any reports on that out there?

Questions?

Hmmmm, interesting. I wonder why warm white? I prefer cool white DRL's. They still look really good. Just a personal preference. I'm sure Hyundai had a reason for choosing warm white. Maybe simply to be different. ;)

It's definitely different between the base model and the V8 or 3.8 with Tech. The high beams are part of the low beam HID housing on both of these models. The LED strip going around the outside of the light housing are white/soft white only and do not become the turn signals. The turn signals are the inside two lights closest to the grill which are also the DRL's when the signal is not on and are very amber in color. I'll post pictures of them in all positions tomorrow on the V8 Ultimate. Here is a picture of the V6 AWD with Tech package.

In this picture I had the headlights on with the LED fog lights. You can see the LED strip around the outside (my camera causes them to not show up fully for some reason), those lights are white only and don't change color, the blinker is on the inside of the HID housing closest to the grill.

Does anyone know for sure if the 3.8 AWD ultimate come with LED fog lights or do they only come with the 5.0?

This is an AWD. See the square thingy in the bumper which looks like a cap over the round sensor? That pops out and reveals a high pressure nozzle which cleans your headlights. ;) This is standard on AWD along with heated steering and rear seats. If it works like Mercedes then there is no switch. At night the camera detects if the headlights are doing their job or not and then cleans accordingly, cool eh! :welcome:

It is confirmed that there is no fog lights for the V6/AWD including the ultimate package. As silly as it might be they aren't offering them on any of the V6's, I'd imagine it will be complained about enough and revisited in the 2016 model.

Here are the pictures with all of the lighting positions on the V8, I also tested the V6 with tech package and it's identical with the exception of fog lights. The low/high beams are all part of the single HID.....I hope this helps some...enjoy :)

I tried to engage the fog lights with the DRL in the off position but they would not come on, please note nothing is lighted in this setting:

In auto position only the DRL's come on, note the eyelashes are off. These are also the blinkers on the car, the eyelashes do not become the blinkers:

Parking Lights (corrected information)......note both the eyelashes and the orange DRL are on:

Lights are set to on position, note both the HID and eyelashes are on along with the LED fog lights (you can turn the fog lights on/off only in this mode) which is something I wish they would change:

Very well detailed report. Thank You gameday22

I wonder if all the 2015's share the same wiring harness and if you couldn't just pop out the plastic cover and install the same fog lights from a V8 model and then just replace the directional lever to get the fog light switch to work?

I wonder what comes on at night when the setting is on "Auto"... maybe the eyelashes come on?

Seems like Hyundai could have made this really simple by just making the eyelashes the DRLs.

In the auto position the HID's and the eyelashes will be, just the same as when you put them in the on position during the daytime. Tonight if I get the chance I'll stop by the dealership and check to see if the auto setting allows the fog lights to be turned on, it should but I'm not 100% positive on that.

We had the V6 AWD up on the rack when it first came in, the tech and I looked around near the light housing and couldn't see anything that would allow for them to be added.....doesn't mean it's not there just not readily noticable.

I kinda like the 3.8 base model's lighting where the amber eyelash LEDs are the turn signals and also the parking lights. For daytime running, just bypass the stock DRLs and set the stalk to the parking light setting. Use the LED eyelash parking lights as your pseudo DRLs, with the added advantage of lighting up those beautiful new taillights as well.

Gameday22, in one of your photos above you explain the photo as "DRL only, non auto mode...note both the eyelashes and the orange DRL are on:"

Actually, that setting under the headlight setting is not the DRL mode, it is the parking light setting switch position. There is no "DRL on" switch setting, per se. DRLs will turn on automatically in daytime, unless switched off, or another setting other than headlights on is selected.

Sorry and thanks for catching that, I thought that position was the "DRL" on the stalk...I cant recall the last time I just wanted my parking lights on lol.

I haven't seen a base model but I'd also prefer those eyelashes to be the DRL/Blinker just like the one on the video I posted...it also had dual HID's which would be sweet.

Parking light switch setting. Rear lights are on too.

So if you use the manual parking light setting to keep the eyelashes on, you'd have to remember to turn them off every time, right? Or is there an auto shut off timer?

Sorry if that's a dumb question...I'm used to just setting the lights on Auto and never touching it.

They will shut off no matter what position you have them in just like the previous generation.
