  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyway to adjust where on the windshield the HUD is displayed? I like my seat fairly high, but when at that height I am looking at the HUD at an angle and it s very dim and sometimes partly cutoff - if I lower my seat to be direct in front of the hud it is great, but I feel I sit way too low for that.

I couldn't find a way to basically raise the HUD up on the windshield - without that option, it's somewhat useless to me.

any thoughts?

There is a height adjustment setting in the settings on the dash cluster. U can't access it from the main display only the 7 inch cluster between your speedometer and tachometer. I don't own the car yet (picking up my 3.8 ultimate today) but I've played with that setting when I test drove.

Thank you - I found it - had to move it 'lower'.

Besides up an down, can you adjust this left & right as well?

No adjustment for that, the cutout for the HUD does make quite a reflection off the glass though which is annoying at times.

How about the issue with polarized sunglasses?? Is there an answer, that does not include have to get new lenses? Yes, turning my head helps... But kind of a useless feature, at least in the daytime. No polarized sunglasses in KDM, I guess.

The answer is a pair of non-polarized driving glasses kept in the car for day driving.

Windshield and sunglasses are both vertically polarized. Because in sunlight vertical performs better than horizontal. Not sure about circular polarization but im guessing its more expensive and hyundai isn't going to splurge for it anyways

What's funny is if I turn my head sideways in either direction you can see the heads up display very clearly. Haven't thought about it long enough to figure out why though. Maybe as the poster said above the lens are vertically polarized so when you turn your head horizontally it clears up.
