If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Thought I would post up some pics on the install of the Mud Guards for our 2015 Genesis for those who have never installed them before. Hope this helps.

Tools required:

Rear Install

First clean the area and dry it before installing on the Mud Guards.

There are only three screws on the rear install. Two visible and one on the bottom. Remove these two screws as shown below.

This is the screw located on the bottom.

Use a screw driver as shown below underneath the plastic screw cap then install a screwdriver to unscrew it. Once it gets far enough out you can just remove it with your fingers.

Discard all hardware removed from car and use the new hardware that came with the mud guards.

Install new plastic cap & screw through large hole in bottom of mud guard.

Place mud guard on car and press this cap & screw into the existing hole in car. You will feel it snap into place. No screwing it required.

Now install two screws as shown below.

Finished rear install

Front mud guard install:

There are 4 screws on the side and one on the bottom to install. Note that on my car there was no screw on the bottom to remove but the hole is there already.

Turn the wheel to gain access and remove and install as noted above for the rear. Turn the wheel in the other direction to install the other side.

Here is a link to Ebay to buy them at if needed:

Thanks! Excellent pictures and procedure. Very timely too as I get my mudguards next week. Only other suggestion I would add is to give the cleaned area behind where the mudflaps will mount a really good coat or two of wax.

Great idea. I forgot to do that but they are on now. :D

Super easy and fast.

Looking at Hyundai accessories there are three different sets of mud guards. At least they have different part numbers and prices. Anyone know the difference?

So when you install them everyone goes gaga and when I install them I get told those are for trucks? :p http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=14289&highlight=guards

Hey, Midnight, I'm going gaga over your mud flaps!!! Tell me, how does the dump body work on your Genesis? Sadly I didn't order that option group :(.

Just playing around :D - my car has 'splash guards' too and on a dark car (my Genesis is Manhattan Brown) they are basically invisible. As a review of their effectiveness during this especially brutal winter - they did exactly what they were designed to do.

Midnightsun, that just comes with the territory of being a trailblazer :). Personally, I owe one of my favorite mods to you:

That V8 emblem in that location is simply stunning. Heck, even looks great on white.

:grouphug:. Two pluses on the V8 emblem. Very discrete.

Honestly I owe the idea completely to Midnightsun. He did it first and when I saw it on his, I knew I wanted it even before I bought my car.

Well.. Thanks to both of you. I like.

Got mine this week and the install is super easy and quick. Even for those not mechanically inclined, you can do this easy add on. Delivered to the house in 2 days for ~$62.

Sounds good. Measure twice, stick them on once. :)
