  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking through interior color options on a '15 Genesis with Ultimate interior. Wanting to see if anyone is seeing any issues getting blue jean or other color stains on the ivory or beige luxury leather.

Zero issues with my Beige interior since last September.

This has been discussed on several occasions and no issues whatsoever.

We get a little staining mostly from newer jeans but it is easily removed with leather cleaner.

Over time, I noticed a build-up of 'jean coloured residue' on both my 2009 and 2012 Genesis beige interiors (mostly on the drivers seat cushion), but as mentioned, it was easily removed with leather cleaner. So far, my 2015 seems better in this regard. The problem is definitely worse with new jeans.

I think I'm going to make a "sticky thread" will links to all the discussions we're having on this...

Also useful might be buying better quality jeans. If you sweat so much 'down there' the seat ventilation system is your friend.
My Beige interior is residue free.

The issue isn't the quality of the jeans. Oils in the leather have a tendency to transfer the dye from your jeans, including designer brands. May be especially when the jeans are new and not been washed.

Also, I believe there is a separate thread above for this always lively discussion.

Yes, I do believe the newer the jeans, the more likely they are to transfer dye to the leather. And, yes - I did create a "sticky" with a few links to past (and current) conversations regarding this issue. Hopefully people continue in those discussions instead of starting new ones from this point on...

Hello,
I've had my 2015 Genesis with the ivory/beige interior since Sept. 2014. I do not wear jeans very often as I live in South Florida. I do not see any adverse effects due to the close I wear. I will tell you that as in all light color interiors there is more work to keep the leather looking clean. I think this is a small trade off instead of having a very hot black or dark interior.

PLEASE HELP!!

I've had my Ibiza Blue Genesis for 2 weeks now and I have realized that there are scratches on on the passenger side center console. The scratches are coming from the metal from the seatbelt hitting the center console as people are trying to find the clicker. I've tried to wipe it off with some automotive cleaner but its not coming off. Please could somebody recommend something I could try and get them scratches off?

Thank You
