  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I know there are some interesting cars in some of your garages other than your Genesis....

Pictured below is my Shelby GT500 and my current project car - a 1991 Lexus LS400. Plans are to get her restored and running. I have always loved old school Japanese cars.

Not pictures is my wife's car - a 2014 Mazda 6 Touring.

Shelby....

I have had many interesting cars over the years, interesting to me maybe not to others though.

my current project/weekend cruiser is a 1992 Subaru SVX, these are a flat boxer 6 cylinder 24v DOHC 230HP 228tq with 4spd auto. I have fitted a 2007 WRX Sti 6 speed to mine.

Thank you, they are cool, they were so ahead of their time, some little features they have I only see on 2004 and up lux cars, for example here is one I have never seen on any other car, there is a summer and a winter parking spot for the windshield wipers, winter spot sits right over the defrost vents of the dash, summer they tuck down under the hood so you can not see the wiper arms.
And my drivers window has auto up as well as auto down.

Suh-WEET!

Here are a couple of shots of my '08 GranTurismo, an incredible vehicle with a lot of performance if you don't mind pumping a lot of go-juice.

Our other car is an '04 Acura MDX which I hope to replace soon with a '15 Genesis 5.0L Ultimate in Montecito Blue (if I can ever find one, those seem to be very rare).

Can I come over and play at your house Doc? Your toys are better than mine.

One car I had a long time ago which definately would not be that interesting to many others was an 80 chrysler Cordoba, Not sure what it was about it but I loved the car, 318, or 5.2L for those newer to cars. lol.
This was the car

I had a second one for parts and so I decided to cut the hood to place a larger air cleaner on it, there was not much room under the hood, the stock box was designed to go down over the carb almost flush with the intake manifold and while it worked fine it was not really good at pulling large amounts of air in. and the aftermarket Carter AFB linkage didn't fit under that stock air cleaner housing very well either.

Thats the ticket, 1980's crushed velvet. IF only I had an 8 track to go with it.

Early 80's luxery cars such as the Cordoba had top of the line hi-fi 8 track decks.

Let's see, a riding mower, a chain saw, a weed-wacker, a pressure washer,... Oh, you're talking about cars.. In the garage!!?? The only vehicle in my garage right now is a Jeep Wrangle (old school in-line 6, not those mini-van motors!)

If you like old school Japanese cars, you'd love the one my son had, and it would have out-run your Shelby. He had a 90 Skyline, 3 liter in-line six, pumping 21 lbs boost thru a Cummings Diesel blower. It dynoed at just under 700hp, in a vehicle about the same size as a 240ZX. Talk about brutal!! Complete opposite of the Genesis!

I have the Genesis Coupe, my wife has a 2014 Prius C 4. Talk about complete opposite! 6 sped manual turbo coupe that gets 24 MPG and a smooth-as-silk sackless CVVT hatchback that gets upto 60 MPG! She loves that Prius as much as I love my Gen though.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
2005 TBird, customized. Also a new Rogue.

while I do love skylines I think it may have been a close race. the Shelby has a ton of upgrades, it dyno'd at 740 wheel, so it was around 925 crank hp.
