  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

You've seen it. Now read about it here:

Not bad, I think with the new Genesis line sales may struggle. Still prefer the Hyundai design over Kia

I wonder what the ETA is in the entry level Genesis

YEH knows. He/She (heck, I don't know) might have posted it here already. I believe it's a few years out.

Was hoping for sooner :-(
Well, we're seeing the G90 first. Then the G80. I have a feeling they'll want to get a SUV/CUV in the lineup before the entry-level car but you never know. Perhaps they'll both come at the same time. I'm guessing we'll be lucky to see something in late 2017 but you never know...

All guy here, Sal.

Correct on the G90 being 1st and then the refreshed Genesis/G80.

Entry-level sedan (late 2017 or early 2018) to come before the larger crossover (2019).

Supposedly the coupe and the smaller CUV to come around 2017/18 as well according to the reports (more like rumors), but find that a bit ambitious.

The coupe coming before the entry-level sedan I can see since we have already seen it getting tested in mule form.

I'm thinking that Genesis will do the larger crossover 1st, but that's just my own intuition.

So based on reading the tea leaves, I would say...

Launch time-table (Korea, as they get it 1st) -

Late 2015 - G90
Early-mid 2016 - G80 (MCE)
Mid-late 2017 - coupe
Late 2017/early 2018 - G70? (compact sedan)
2019 - midsize crossover

For the smaller crossover - could be either late 2018 or not 'til 2020.

H - don't forget, Kia is scheduled to launch the production version of the GT concept next yr in Korea (so likely 2017 in NA) - which, while sharing platforms w/ the G80, will slot btwn the G70 and G80 in size (like how the K900 slots btwn the Genesis and Equus in size).

Not bad. I think Huddleston will be happy to hear about the entry-level luxury sedan's planned arrival time.

Are the pre-order numbers from individuals looking to purchase or dealers who want them on the lot?

^ Sorry for the late reply; think in Korea, pre-orders are like ordering from the factory.
