  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A 2012 5.0 (not CPO) for 25K(out the door) is a good deal ? Can someone confirm if it is a good deal and I shouldnt miss it ?

Note: Dealer says its an Rspec but I dont see the rspec sticker in the car, so I am not really sure. So I am considering it as a 5.0 till I see the car.

Appreciate your help.

Check the mats, should have 19 in rims. Headlights should be smoked. That's just a couple of things I can think of

It really depends on the mileage?
you can also check if it has been in any accidents (i.e. carfax)?
Does it have service history?

If you know the VIN, you can find out the model of the car and other info here: Hyundai VIN Decoder Check.

Apologies, I thought I mentionedthe miles.
It has 36k miles on it and no accidents. It is a 5.0

For 25k, I would say, if the car was a CPO then it may be considered a 'fair' value (but not a bargain) depending where you live!?

I would ask them to throw in HMA 10/100 warranty or get them down to $23k so you can get 10/100 HMA warranty yourself...

No CPO, 3 year and 36k miles (no electronics covered), somehow I find that a bit suspicious!

Just my two cents...

Thats a very valid suggestion. I was not sure of the price, so it is better to go for a CPO than living with uncertainities.
Thanks again.

Just closed a deal on a 2013 Titanium R Spec with delivery scheduled on Jan 17th.
it has 16,000 km's and a set of winter alloys and snow tires as well as the regular rims and tires. Price before taxes was $29,461 which I thought wasn't bad considering CDN MSRP was $53,499.

Is it a CPO ? I have been looking to buy a Rspec with less than 40K miles on it for less than $25000. The closest I have got is $27000 for a 2012 rspec with 35K miles on it without taxes, I am unable to get one for the price I am looking for.
I am getting distracted by 2012 Maxima SV less than 30K miles with Panaromic roof, nav (all options available) for less than 21K. There is no fairness comparing Genesis and Maxima, but I startet to lean towards maxima due to the unavailabity of Rspec. Or I might extend my budget to $27K

That's a great deal, get an extended warranty for another 1-2k and enjoy your ride!!!

I don't know how different the 5.0 is value-wise than the 4.6, but I got a 2012 4.6 for $22k with 32k miles.

I read through this thread before pulling the trigger on my R-spec yesterday, so I thought I'd pay it back by posting my info.

I just got a brand-new 2014 R-spec with under 50 miles on the odo. They threw in locking lug nuts into the deal. I got it for $37.5K plus tax. Maybe not the very best price, but it worked for me. What really sweetened the pot was 60-month financing at 2.39%. My local credit union was offering me 2.49%, but the dealer really, really wanted me to take it home that day. I had a trade-in, a 2007 Camry XLE, and fortunately I brought its title and all the keys with me just in case the dealer was willing to finance the Genny on the spot. No cash paid at all, just the trade-in and a bunch of signed papers. :p

Congrats

Just picked up 2012 3.8 tech 47k cpo one owner for 22,9 out the door. Clean carfax.

Very good deal! I purchased a 2012 3.8 tech with 30k miles for $24k. I also purchased the 10/100,000 HPP warranty.

How are you liking the car so far?

Hello Freinds,

currently I am trying to finalize a 2012 Rspec CPO with 13000 miles on it for $26000 without tag/tax and dealer fees.
It is a January 2012 manufacture date so I am in a dilema to pull the trigger or not as it may or may not have the oil leak issue, if it does I will have to end up re-building the engine.
I like the price and low miles on the car but very confused about the possible oil leak issue.
Your valuable suggestions/advice ?
