Ordered New Ultimate 5.0 what was your waiting time?

I have ordered a 2015 Manhattan Brown, ivory/Black Ultimate 5.0 4 weeks ago, my dealer says 8-12 week to waiting time, anyone else got the same delay waiting for their new car?

I am in Canada but I did order custom from the factory as none were available or in production with my color choice. Took about 12 weeks for it to arrive at the dealer.

Dealers can't order a Genesis from the Korean factory. A dealer can request specific trim levels and colors, etc from the distributor, which is Hyundai Motor America or Hyundai Canada, who in turn order from the factory.

If a distributor has some already on order with the trim/colors you want, then it is a matter of how many other dealers want the same car. In most cases, the actual number of cars with a particular trim and color are determined way in advance by the distributor, and dealers just have to pick from what is available in the pipeline.

I would call around to other dealers to see what they have. Some dealers will trade cars with other dealers, and some are somewhat hesitant to do that, especially if the other dealer is too far away.

Finally got a date for the delivery July 15th, so I ordered on May 8th, crazy long... that what you get for wanting something that is not available...

MA. I used Cars.com and HyundaiUSA.com to search for the car. Last October, after building the car on the website, there were only 12 2015 Caspian Black Metallic/5.0/Ultimates for sale in the entire U.S. at that time. I got lucky and the closest was at a dealership in NY.

I had purchased a 2014 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate 6MT less than five months prior from the local dealership. I called the salesman at the local dealership and told him what I wanted. I went to the local dealership later that day, traded the 2014 Genesis Coupe in and signed the paperwork. The General Manager called the NY dealership to hold the 2015 5.0 Ultimate and took delivery the following day.

You going to make sure you end up with 2016? Should be close to dates when they hit the shores? Or ok with a 2015?

Well I would love to get the 2016 but really, I will take a 2015 or 2016 it will be a suprise to see a 2016, I dont think they will arrive in Canada until Mid November... and to be honest I can't wait anymore I need to be able to seat the kid's in the back... can't use the FRS anymore

My dealer had the Hyundai rep request a 3.8 AWD Ultimate with the color combo I wanted. It was ordered in mid October and I took delivery on December 10th.

Almost can't sleep anymore... I will get my Car Monday July 6th, 3 day shy of my birthday. This was my gift for my 40th anniversary almost made it in time! I have read so many post and YouTube video I can’t count anymore. One thing really pisses me off. People are bashing this car because of brand recognition instead of pleasure of driving. They should just get themselves a LCD screen staples to the back with their bank account summary this would cool a lots of them haters..... Car should be about fun and what it brings to you when you are behind the wheel not what the guys next door thinks.

Your going to love the car. Came from the Gen Coupe.....moving to the V8 and AWD is a huge change. Your going to be waiting for the first snow fall come winter! Even with the AWD, make sure you pick up a set of winters. You won't regret it!
