If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So may be a silly question, does anyone think Genesis will make it possible in the future to purchase separately body parts from the G80 sport. For example I really find the gunmetal mesh grill attractive on the G80 sport, along with the gunmetal trim instead of the chrome trim on the current G80s and current G2 genesis.

Do car manufacturers usually make these options available for after market purchase

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
You will definitely be able to buy the parts, all manufacturers have to have replacement parts available for warranty replacment, crash damage fixes, etc. The only question will be at what cost--plan on a pretty penny if you want to convert to the new front end, you will need the bumper, grill, paint, and probably a bunch of other parts like brackets and fasteners.

In my Lexus GS days some forum members would convert their base car to the F sport look, basically they would have to have to buy the whole front end at something like $2k if you wanted all new OEM parts.

Ok thanks, that's interesting, I would have thought the grill would be easy to swap in if they are the same dimensions, but that's speculating they are the same proportions.

Hey bud. You can order parts direct from the dealer. I just traded in my 2016 3.8 htrac for a 2015 5.0L htrac and I ordered the front bumper from the g80 sport to slap on this monster. I expect to have taken ownership of the new one a week from today as they need to get the bumper, fit it and then send it for paint. Im doing a few other things like chrome delete around the windows in black and chrome delete along the bottom of the doors in white. I think it's going to look pretty bad ass. Now all I need to do is find me some nice rims. :)

Anyway....I'll post some pictures when complete but just wanted to let you know that you could order g80 sport parts and slap them on your 2015 + genesis.

There are several Hyundai dealers that sell official OEM parts online at a discount, and obviously all dealers sell them in their parts department. At the online sites, you can see the entire OEM parts catalog. You cannot always get each individual part and sometimes have to buy a larger "part assembly," but that various quite a bit.

The only problem is that I have not seen any Genesis Motors online parts websites yet that are run by Genesis dealers. You could call one of the Hyundai parts online dealers (such as Delray FL Hyundai, or Jim Ellis Hyundai in Atlanta) to see if they will be selling Genesis Motors parts. Or just go to any Genesis Motors dealer and ask the people at the parts counter.

Bumper covers are probably going to need to be painted by a body shop once you buy it.

generally yes, i was just curious about the cost of the part, not labor

Hey Lord Hummunculous.

Im expecting to pay around $2200 CAD for the bumper, clips, all accessories, paint and installation.

Plus taxes of course.

Im pretty sure I got a discounted price to the tune of around 20% because I am a very good client at my local dealer.
Bought 4 Hyundai's from them in the last 12 months alone.

Once its all said and done I'll post a copy of the work order and bill so yall can see what I paid for what.

Thats actually a really good price for final install, even after taxes, about 1600 usd. Good paint work at even friend prices on a part that big (plus removal and install) is going to be in the neighborhood of about 500-800 USD depending on market, so yeah. Pls post pics, I will be interested to see how it looks. kudos!

by means of comparison, my volvos oem bodykit (4 piece, provided along with all the bits and pieces for install) after paint and install was 2 grand usd (full repaint on both bumper covers and pulling, painting, and replacing door trim and painting and affixing the kit...obviously), and that was friend pricing, my body guy would charge joe blow over 3 grand for the same service, bnut Ive been using his shop for almost 20 yuears. I know about being a "preferred" (shall we say) customer. My volvo dealership gives me cost plus 10% on all my volvo parts, so even less than "street prices". Sometimes loyalty pays off.

Yeah, all things considered I think im getting a fair deal. They got the tint guy in today along with the wrapper. Going over tonight to see how it looks with the chrome deletes. Tomorrow the bumper arrives and we make sure the fitting is right, if so, off to paint and by Thursday I'll have her parked in my garage. I'll post pictures as soon as possible.

I really do need to find some rims though, right now she'll be sitting on my 18 inch from the 3.8. I decided to keep those rims because I already have new summer and winter tires for them + I think they look better then the 19's on the 5.0 but I know I need to find something better to roll on for the summer. Winter they'll be just fine. Any suggestions?

wheels are pretty individual, my only criteria was no chinese made wheels, don't care what the brand is, I went with OZ HLTs cause the BBS CI-R in the color and size I wanted wasnt going to be readily available for another 6 months, so i pulled the trigger on the OZs, jm2c

Decided on some vossens. Not sure on size yet but I'll get that sorted out soon enough.

a buddy just got some monster 20" vossens for his M50 and they are drop dead gorgeous, but he also dropped the car 2"

the grill on the sport is smaller then the orignal genesis... I'm doing the conversion just waiting on the parts to get to me

Looks good! I've been playing around with mine, I've plastidipped the grill to a gunmetal along with the side chrome fenders, I tried doing the window trim but it was just to tough peeling off, I did it about 3 times over the past month and it would always peel on a certain spot, not enough edging.
How'd you do your chrome delete?

My company G4werks will be coming out with aftermarket Carbonfiber parts soon... Finishing up now on the regular genesis sedan model

awesome, would be interested in these for sure.

I wish I had the funds to get a g80 sport, I would do new intercooler, hardpipes, turbo upgrades etc.. see how much the 3.3t will handle.
