Hi Folks.
Just picked up a '15 sedan with the Signature package and 35k miles. Opened the hood today to check fluids and noticed the intake silencer is broken where it mounts someplace below the engine cover?
I know a lot of guys remove this anyway, but for the sake of having everything functional and unbroken - what should I do to get this fixed? Never had a CPO vehicle before (they gave me bumper to bumper for 10/100)... do I just call the dealer and say Hey, it looks like something is broken under the hood? Wouldn't want it vibrating around and bouncing off the injector connectors and wires underneath it, right? Mind you, the dealer I purchased from is 90 minutes away... maybe call a closer one and see what they say? I'm guessing this is obviously a defective part in the manufacturing process, assuming a technician never leaned on it with his whole body, it shouldn't break from normal use and vibration?
