  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

RaceChip - RaceChip GTS Black

I am giving it serious consideration.

So, who's gonna get it first and tested it for rest of us? :drive::laughing:

I've got it installed on my G80 Sport. Uploading video to youtube, will post it a bit later. (y)

Which one did you get? I know, there are 3 different one.

I got the GTS Black. Base comps in the video description and OP of this thread.

My Racechip app is showing an increase in horse to 428. I'm only running stock spark plugs atm. Have new HKS 45s but need to install them. I'm not going to do too much until I have new sparks and OCCs installed (also have).

I run 93 octane and have just set Racechip to "R" race mode so far. That in combo with Sport mode gives you quite a difference over 2500 rpm. Genesis said all 365 hp is available at 2500 and with the chip and extra torque, you really feel it digging in!

It's early, just installed beginning of week, but this setup is a really nice and simple add to a stellar stock engine. Especially in a car as heavy as a G80 Sport. It puts some more muscle to the engine and adds more "Sport" to the car for sure.

Bull. Nice video. Which HKS 45 plugs did you buy? What heat range? Do you believe it is necessary to replace plugs? How difficult are the plugs to access for removal and install?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Oh boy....I was going to get a Nikon 300mm f/4 lens first. Now my head hurts, ouch!

There's a spark plug swap by Tork Motorsports on this same engine (3.3L V6 TT). It's a lot of screws to get to the left bank!!

Bad manifold design lol.

I'll get you spark item #. At our other house atm. I think factory ones are gapped at 34 and the HKS are 28. Should see significant improvement.

Can you imagine what this will be like on a G70? It may make it capable of sub 4 second 0 to 60 times.

I've never heard of a car having a factory installed catch can. Which models do?

all the Camaro, Mustang, Challenger models with forced induction have OEM catch cans installed.

I'm sure there are others, but I know for fact these 3 do..

I bought the GTS Black for my 2018 G80 Sport. Had it tested on the AWD dyno this morning. Here are my results. I included SAE and STD numbers.
Pull 1 is the Sport mode on the RaceChip
Pull 2 is the Race Mode on the RaceChip
Pull 3 is completely Stock
(I do have K&N air filters installed and 93 octane Shell gas)

THOUGHTS on was it worth the $850 for the GTS Black? (I'm still grinning!)

I would be grinning too. :ohyeah: Whether it is worth $850? It would depend on your kind of driving.

Was curious about the RACE numbers. I put it in in May but only tried SPORT mode until the OCCs are in.

Poor girl has been in a garage last 3 months because we've been at the beach. Excited to get them in this week and get her back on the road.

Congrats on the update! I believe it's a great upgrade to an already amazing car.

The guy doing the dyno (I took it to a "Mustang Shop") said that the air to fuel ratio was still very good and with some proper tuning he could pull another 45/50 hp out of it.

I had a kid in a 370Z charge up beside me yesterday while I was in Race Mode. He never got near me once I dropped the hammer. He saw taillights. He completed his aggressive attack with the glorious "loser fly-by" and went on his way. I don't know how much power a 370Z puts down, but it was fun, fun, fun!!

I was very surprised how close the race and sport numbers were. I am going to try the "regap the plugs" trick to see if I can get a little more HP out of it. (now if I can just get the app to work on my phone...)
