  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey Peeps,

I joined this forum a few weeks back and I've been combing through the different threads absorbing as much information as I can. I'm the type of guy that researches a product for at least a year before making a purchase. I did the same for my first car and first motorcycle.

Anyways, Kia just announced the Stinger GTS and I must say I'm loving the color. Plus the Carbon Fiber bits, LSD and reworked AWD system are sweet additions. That being said I'm leaning towards the G70 and I wouldn't mind seeing a G70 wearing the same "Performance Blue" paint from the Veloster N. I know Genesis have already said a N edition G70 isn't in the works, but that paint looks soo good. An active exhaust system would also be pretty sweet too in my opinion.

What are the odds Genesis would release a limited addition G70? If you think they would what kind of additions would you like to see on a limited addition vehicle?

There are currently two limited editions for 2019, the Design and Dynamic editions. I think they are limited to 400 of each.

You're right. I completely forgot about the Design and Dynamic editions. I believe the only difference with two is the Black Forest Green exterior color and Beige interior. Hopefully for the next limited edition vehicles Genesis could offer an exterior color that pops a little more. That Beige interior looks good though.

There are a few differences.

True, though these differences don't really compare to the additions on the limited edition Stinger...

What kind of features would you like to see added to a new limited addition G70?

Carbon fiber pieces (interior and exterior) are pretty much the only things I would want

We already have the more aggressive AWD system that the Stinger will be getting.

I didn't realize the G70 AWD system sends 100% of the power to the rear tires in sport mode. I could have sworn it was limited to 80%. Though the Stinger GTS does also hold gears when put into drift mode. I believe in order to achieve the same in G70 you need to turn off the Traction and Stability controls. I could be mistaken though.

my wishlist:

- 6MT
- 3.3TT
- RWD
- LSD
- Brembos
- Vented front seats
- heated rear seats
- quilted nappa
- sport appearance bits
- PS4S (instead of PS4) rubber on staggered 19" sport rims
- non-sport brake pads (i don't need the bite, don't like the dust on mine)
- limited driver-assistance aids (only rear x-traffic, lane-change warning, reverse cam)
- moonroof
- power trunk close
- LED rear signals

basically, my car plus 3.3TT, vented seats, power trunk, LED rear signals and PS4S instead of PS4. i probably forgot an item or three, but my focus is on performance bits along with certain luxury items. not big on tech stuff.

Sounds like it's closer to a 3.3t Dynamic, but that's semantics. Why cut down on driver aids instead of just turning them off? Do they weigh that much?

^ i assume the increased content also increases cost. why pay for something i don't want/need? again, this is a wish list. i know they'll never build a car to my spec.

that said, if the RWD 3.3T dynamic was available in CAD with a 6MT i would certainly think hard on it. my previous 6MT sedans came loaded up so i'm used to paying for extras i don't use.

6 speed manual on the on the 3.3TT would be an insane addition! I was looking into MT 2.0T, but in the US our MT is rather bare bones... I believe Canada's MT is the Sport trim. :(

Oh and if I had to guess you prefer the front grill of the MT, hence the lack of driver aids. It is a lot cleaner without the plastic cover that hides the driver aid sensors.

^ right on both counts. i do prefer the cleaner grille, but i don't hate how they tried to conceal the radar stuff. definitely a reasonable design compromise.

the CAD 6MT does have all the sport appearance package bits inside and out, as well as the sport mechanical bits and sport brake pads & exhaust. just needs another ~40-50hp which guys seem to be getting with the JB4.

A flashier red paint. Havana red seems too dark to me. Something like Acura’s Valencia red pearl or Mazda’s Soul Red Crystal.

Actually the G80’s Polar Ice color would look sweet on the G70.

IMO Mazda's Soul Red Crystal is the best red in the Industry. If Genesis/Hyundai could come close to that red paint it would look incredible on the G70.

I agree with you that the Mazda Soul Red is beautiful and the "best" red in the market but Havana Red is not far from it. I've compared both in front each other and giving the Mazda red a 10/10 I would give 9/10 to the HR (way more than other reds out there)

The nice part with Red is that you can make it look deeper and richer more so than other colours by using Carnuba wax. It gives it more warmth and depth.

If I like it warmth and wet I use Pinnacle Souveran wax and if I like it shiny like a candy I use Mothers CMX ceramic. It looks like a completely different car.
