  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spy shots of the long-awaited GV80.

Great job by genesis, I like the interior, watched asian petrolhead yesterday and he could not fit in the 3rd row in terms of head room, does anyone here know the height of the gv80? I know X5, Gle are around 69 inches tall.

According to what was posted in a thread the other day, 1,715mm which is about 67.5 inches.

Agreed. Genesis did a great job with the GV80. My wife would lean towards the Palisade or Telluride due to cost. However, I'm pretty sold on what I have seen. The luxury, tech, and performance justifies the higher price IMO. A future test drive will seal the deal for me.

Genesis Canada reservations for the GV80 have opened. Just put down my refundable $1,000 deposit. Says delivery summer, 2020.

Did they give you any options/pricing or is it just that you are reserving one that will be coming in and can choose later?

No options. Right of first refusal I was told. Fully refundable.

Thank you for the info! I am about 6'2'' myself, at 1715mm, wish it would have been a little taller, especially for cargo, but no big deal, still a very nice design, my X5 lease is up this november, this is on my list for sure

Believe it gets you in line to put in your config/order when the order bank opens with options/pricing. I will be getting the color/combo/options I want. Probably won't know option packages and pricing until end of Feb.

Was looking at some GV80 promos here is what the 3.5L T and 2.5T looks like. I also realized that it doesn’t say Twin Turbo for the 3.5 engine.

22" wheels! I wouldn't want to have to buy tires. Also, there is very little in the way of selection in that size, at least right now.

From the Car and Driver article on the GV80:
"Instead, Genesis has confirmed two gas engines for the States: a new twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 and the 290-hp 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that will also be used in the G70, Hyundai Sonata N-Line, and the Kia Optima GT. Expect the V-6 to out-wallop the brand's existing 365-hp twin-turbo 3.3-liter and possibly Lincoln's 400-hp 3.0-liter. "

True then why did the official video Genesis put out only say turbo and not Twin Turbo like all the other videos they had of the G70, G80 Sport?

I want the 22s but if the ride is going to suffer I might have to do the 20s. Probably needs air suspension to make 22s ride smooth.

Maybe it's a twin scroll single turbo... They get them mixed up all the time.

EDIT: but given the 3.3T is twin turbo my guess is the new 3.5T is twin turbo.

That’s true and hopefully that is the case if it is a single turbo.
