  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I already ordered. One I liked mostly because I don’t have a lot of options.

I still like my choice though but I am sure a nicer one will be made.

I had one on my LEXUS and removing it later was a task. The paint was 98% ok but I hated taking it off. Heat and pressure still took time and lots of finger pain to get the glue off the car.

I just was being careful. Yeah I was covering it but still it’s my baby lol.

So with this new spoiler of course without fail the photos suck. I am besides myself with these idiots taking photos of spoilers.

Instead of holding it up to the car for a photo LOL you can use a few double sided pieces of tape to lightly attach it and it is not going to ruins anything and you can take photos but not they have 2 people holding it up 😂.

I just installed and next day 80 down the expressway.

Clean! I was looking at this earlier too but didn't want the spoiler to be the only thing that was CF :p might consider wrapping the boomerang and door handles in CF vinyl
I wouldn’t. I had a mix of the two and it looked dumb because they didn’t match.

they sell a pillars but they are like $580 while other cars are $150 lol guy is crazy but eventually they will see them cheaper.

saw complete door handles but I’ll wait for covers and mirror covers.

same guy I got the spoiler sells gas cap replacement and cover for the side vents but I prefer the dark chrome.

Or i can just settle for a normal spoiler and wrap spoiler/boomerang/doorhandles with the same vinyl :O

You could. The moment I got my real carbon spoiler, I replaced all the vinyl on my LEXUS to match except near the mirrors because they didn’t make it and it was just the pointy corner piece that was tiny.

real CF just is best if available. The wrap looks good too it’s not that it doesn’t.

yeah i'm honestly debating bw CF wrapping the trim pieces (window trim, boomerang, door handles) or just do satin black.

I prefer CF and with the color of this car I love the way it looks.

I won’t do gas cap or side trims, I’ll just do pillars, mirrors and handles. Too much and it looks bad to me.

I enjoy the way the dark chrome looks mixed in.

yeah I agree that too much looks bad. I think i'll just do window trim & grill with satin black and then sprinkle some CF on other pieces.

I wrapped the door handles in satin black over the weekend. Not the greatest look imo. Kind of makes the car look cheap and gets dirty easily.

I wish I went with gloss black or even CF (even though its RICE).

Since the B pillar is already gloss black I would definitely do the same for the window trim. Satin black may look out of place there.

I guess I’m not sure what models come with what color trim. I have a Sport so the entire car has that dark chrome which I love.

I just lost my love for wraps I guess and so I opt to do nothing if there are not parts.

still it looks nice wrapped that is for sure.

I got you. Thanks for that. Saved me some time and money!

Fortunately I have some experience wrapping and few friends who used to do clear bra so hopefully it'll come out ok. Yeah I wish we had more parts... would be so much easier and money is worth it imo (not rn though lol)

Yes! Should've provided those my bad.

I took a few in the garage so lighting isn't the best. I'll see if I can take some more today outside.

The wrap job wasn't the best, it was my first time so don't judge me :sneaky:.

Wrapping job was pretty good esp for a first timer! 👏
Door handles are def not easy compared to stuff like windrow trim, taillight, boomerang, etc.
I see what you mean about satin black looking "cheap".

Thanks thanks, I realized there's a lot of factors that you don't realize until you do it yourself. Definitely easier with two people, even for small items like handles.

Yea, it essentially just looks like plastic handles. It also picks up body oils and fingerprints pretty easily, which look terrible in the sun. The stock dark chrome was pretty bad at that too though.

If you end up wrapping the chrome in gloss black or anything other than satin black, please post pics! I eventually plan on doing the rest of the chrome so would love to see what it looks like. Ijust need a break, hands still hurt lol.

I will! Might take a while since I'm still deciding.

Unless you have something to hold the handles (if you completely removed them), if better to just remove the smaller piece and wrap the bigger piece first still attached.
Starting from the front edge (it usually fails here first due to tension) and work your way back.
Then remove the handle (should be easy since small piece is already removed but be careful with wires) and then wrap it around the back.

Do you have any issues with your lock/unlock button? I see that it was all wrapped in 1 piece
