You need to identify the underlying issue.the center console (armrest) lids won't stay closed. I've found I can insert a thick dinner napkin in between the 2 lids and that the lids can stay shut for awhile.
I'm looking for a permanent fix. Any suggestions?

Warranty? If you are the original owner it would be covered under the 5/60 warranty.the center console (armrest) lids won't stay closed. I've found I can insert a thick dinner napkin in between the 2 lids and that the lids can stay shut for awhile.

If your car doesn't have over 60K miles, you are in warranty. Take it to the dealer. I'm the second owner of my 2017 and I still have 1 year left on the 5yr/60K warranty. I've had several issue resolved with the factory warranty that you wouldn't get from most other luxury car dealerships. So take it in and let them take a look.Warranty? The only thing that does not carry over to the next owner is the 10yr 100K drive train warranty. But the standard warranty does carry over. Some will tell you, me included, to look into an extended warranty if you plan to keep the car in perpetuity. ;-)Thanks guys! I am the original owner and owned the car for 3 years in May and have 29k miles on it. I thought my warranty expired at 3 years. That is a nice surprise then!
What's covered is what it says is covered. When I got an extended warranty for my 14 LS460 F Sport, I asked them what wasn't covered. When he told me the few bits and bobs not covered and I questioned him on the main issues and they were, I bought it. Always best to find out what isn't covered. Are extended warranty's "bumper to bumper" warranty's? I bought an extended warranty for a 911 Turbo once and the cluthch started giving me issues, so I took it to the dealer where I purchased the extended warranty and they told me "Sorry, clutch is not covered under the extended warranty" and then they doubled down and said "the clutch isn't even covered under the original Porsche new car warranty"... Don't want to get scammed on an extended warranty, so I'll be sure to do my research on whom ever I am looking at for extended warranty's for my Genesis...
The best warranty is an exclusionary one, in which the items NOT covered are those listed. What's covered is what it says is covered.
