  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

EBP not releasing problem

It's used for stop and go after a certain amount of time. I was stuck in traffic for 2 hours once and the stop and go switched from the brake actuator to the EPB after a while to prevent overheating the actuator. I don't think Hyundai has any cars with stop and go has a manual parking brake.

My EPB failed... to get it moving I cut the cables on both sides... my Auto Brake still works, so as it may be tied to the EPB... it is not used BY it.
I have a 2012 Genesis Rspec & my EBP is flashing & Auto hold is stuck on. Does this reset method apply to my model year?

I tried the way mentioned by "Uchiha madara" once again and it worked successfully this time.
The trick is to keep the engine running during the removal of the fuses.

The steps are as follows:
1. Start the engine.
2. Remove the fuses ( Two green fuses at the bottom of the fuse board)
3. Stop the engine.
4. Restart it again.
5. Engage the brake.
6. Stop the engine.
7. Reinstall the fuses.
Your car now is back to normal and you can drive it without any problem.
Hi I have the same problem, I have genesis sedan 5.0 2016.

Can anybody send me the picture of the fuses that I should take off.

This is my email zezo.a.q@hotmail.com

Wow, rather then fixing the actual problem, eliminate the parking brake, the emergency brake, and the auto hold feature...
I'll pass.
BTW.. it ONLY affects the Emergency Brake.. NOT.. the parking brake.. NOT the Auto Hold Feature. My method will get your car rolling again without having to fork out THOUSANDS to replace the EPB Module/Cables

The emergency and parking brakes are one and the same!
I assume that you are saying that your transmission still goes into park. This is true, of course, but it is not the same as also having the parking brake applied.

I hope so… You have probably have an issue with your electronic parking brake actuator and it’s an expensive fix (dealer quoted me $3500). I would find a way to release it manually or cut the cable and never turn it on again.

We tried all that but not working the only solution we do is to remove the fuses of the entire system then install it again and that restarts the system and release the EBP

Those are the fuses

The fuse box in the hood of the vehicle or the one inside the vehicle ?
