  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Yep, it is that time of the year and the standard annual renewals are $99 x 3 = $297. Seems like there were some discounts available for some of these services. I have 4 days to come up with something or pay full price.

Anyone know of any contacts or codes?

My dealer always say to just call Hyundai Blue Link but every time I call them they actually laugh at giving out discounts saying it’s funny how the dealers always tell customers to call them. So I let mine expire after paying for a year thinking that after a month or so they would send me a email with a comeback discount and nothing. Then when I went back to reactivate my account it says my annual period would be from the beginning of December to next December even though we are now in January so it would be for 11 months not a full 12 but priced at 12 months. I passed on that and then just went for the 1 month plan thinking I would use it while the weather is bad for the next month or two.

Well the monthly subscription was applied and for a full month period however even thought my display in my car said that me account was reactivated and online it said I was reactivated the only email I got from Hyundai was that it would take 24 hours to activate and I would receive a 2nd email with more instructions to fully activate my service. 4 days later and still nothing. I called in to Blue Link and they couldn't tell me what the issue is but assured me it would be corrected that day. Well the next day still nothing and no service so now it was almost a week into my month of non-working service. I called again and they now admitted that they have known issues in the activation department and activated my service. I then asked for them to adjust my service dates since I paid for 5 days with no service. I was told they would take care of it and I would receive a call the next day to confirm. Never heard back from them so I had to call again and sat on hold for 45 minutes again and now I was told that they had no record of my last call but they did see that someone manually activated my service. After now being on hold and speaking to them for over 90 minutes in this latest call alone I was offered 3 months of free service since they couldn't adjust my subscription dates and for all the trouble. Sounds good!

Unfortunately the next day I received an email saying we are sorry to see you go and we have canceled you subscription at your request! So round 4 or 5 I can’t remember I called them back and now I was told that the 3 months free “good faith” offer needed to be reviewed by a supervisor in 5-7 days I will be notified on the decision? What? I was never told that I would need to be approved which would take another week and I was definitely not told they would cancel my current month. Whoever runs Blue Link is a joke. Extremely high prices, unreliable service connecting to the car and the customer service department is a joke. Wrote a letter to Hyundai Corporate as it seems that is the only way to get anything resolved with Hyundai but since Blue Like is probably run by a separate company it might not go anywhere.

If you find any codes please let me know so I can stop calling Blue Link! LOL

Your story is why I had an aftermarket remote installed in my Sonata. It was about $230 one time and more reliable. In the past I did have reliability issues with BlueLink, but recently it has been perfect. Remote start is nice, Google "send to car" is handy, but not worth $300. Maybe half that

Ed can I ask what brand remote start you went with? I was looking into getting on for my wife's KIA but now I am interested in one for the Genesis as well.

I was thinking about getting this MPC one for my 2016 Genesis because there is no way I'm paying for a subscription to remote start my car.

Sadly, it only works on the coupe, not the sedan. Apparently the wiring on the sedan is different than the Coupe. I really have no idea why Hyundai does stuff like that. Also, the reason I had to get the Tech package so I could get Android Auto and sacrifice the HUD from the Ultimate package.

This particular one is really good in that it uses the OEM fobs instead of adding a new one.

Even so, I don't think this really works for me since I don't really want to remote start the car. I really only want to do it to warm the seats and starting the car is a pre-req to do that. Even if I could start the car remotely, I don't know how I would add remote seat heating without BlueLink.

On my Sonata, I was able to turn the seats on before shutting down Next morning with remote start the seats would be on. With the Genesis they would not be on.

Someone here though, did it and gave a description. He had to add a relay, IIRC. You may be able to find it with a search.

I am looking for a discount code for the connected services for a 2017 G90. Is there anything out there?

My Connected Care Subscription expired yesterday. Was even sent a couple emails reminding me. Anyway, not sure about promo codes but, I went online and renewed each @ $59.40 for the year.

That's interesting. I have a month left of my Free Trial. Checked and it's about $85/each "pre-paid" before trial period expires.

They may send you a discounted offer. If they do, use it right away. I waited until my trial expired then the discount code didn't work anymore!

Yeah, the options and info on the Genesis "Manage Subscription" are misleading at best. For mine it listed the pricing options for the 3 connected services they offer. The rate stated 1 Year = $22.51, 2 Year = $109..., 3 Year = $218... Based on the info from this forum I wondered so I called them. After talking with their rep, the 1 Year = 2 months?, 2 Years = 14 months? and 3 Years = 26 months? Not sure how they can even legally present the options that way let alone with a good conscience. I did the 2 months for a grand total of $67.53 and the rep added 3 months for free. (free?) I'll keep this all in mind and evaluate if I really want to keep this "service" or not. iPhones work pretty good it seems like or do they turn that connectivity off. Just beware.

I Just cancelled my subscription, not worth the price.

Thanks - for that amount I'm in. I'll see if it works!!

I just tried that promo code and it didn't work!! Says it's not applicable for my VIN
Oh, that sucks.
I waited too late myself. Tried to call the day after the coupon expired and customer service said there's nothing they could do. This code must be good only for a certain period after a trial of the services has started.

I just spoke with MyGenesis customer service rep. She is working with me and getting me a 40% discount that I can get when they expire. She also explained which services would be best for me to continue. 844-340-9741
