I just purchased a 2014 Equus with 54,000 miles and it had no owners manual in it the dealership ordered me one, My question is... Is there a Suspension/Shock turn off switch located in the car somewhere before lifting the car off the ground?

Sell the car. Seriously. I have a 2013. Air suspension system will not work if the struts leak. Replacing the struts is super pricey. You can get remanufactured struts for a few hundred, but must go to the dealer to get the system calibrated. If it needs new height sensors, you are SOL. They are discontinued. So I have an 8 year old luxury vehicle with 82K miles on it that I cannot drive ;o) because the front end is sitting on the ground.

If you have issues with the air suspension don't mess around with replacing parts of the system and do the conversion kit. I have learned this lesson the hard way as I replaced all the parts and then had some road debris damage the rears and had to replace them again. I would have been money ahead had I gone with the conversion. Otherwise, these cars are fantastic. Killer stereo, quiet ride, lots of power and pretty amazing highway fuel economy.

With the conversion kit...will you still get the "check ECS" error on the dash or any kind of warning lights?

Who told you the height sensors were discontinued????

They are very much available. 6 of Hyundai's 8 warehouses have them in stock.

I have the conversion from Strutmasters and it rode just as good as the air ride. Only took it off to sell.

As of 2023, you can still order both front and rear height sensors from the dealership. If you can not get it, I can help you.

Friday I switched out my suspension to the Strut Masters, the process couldn't of been easier. It took me about 4.5 hours from beginning to end. Then I went to have my car aligned, it rides great. You can tell the difference from the air suspension to the shocks, but it's not major at all. I'm very satisfied with the transition.

I went through two sets of strutmasters and they suck. They were installed three times by mechanic and clank when I hit potholes so small and man hole covers the front sounds like its going to fall off car. I ruined the beautiful car with this horrible strut system- strutmasters sent me two sets still same shet- it sux having the bang noise each and every time I hit a small divot NOT large pot holes even

If you value a smooth ride, stick with the air suspension. These cars were designed and engineered with air suspension. If Hyundai could have achieved their ride and handling goals with a conventional suspension, they would have.

I've had no issues and I had someone compliment how smooth the ride was on the vehicle and he didn't know about that conversion. No issue over speed bumps, pot holes , nothing. Love them.

I'm curious to know what the cost would be for all four corners? If these are hard to source, I'd like to have spares on hand. My 2011 Ultimate recently had RMT remanned replacements installed. And I calibrated with my "official" GDS VCI. I also replaced the valve block and compressor.

My fronts are starting to lose the capability to hold air and I tried to find fronts without much success. Getting it done at the dealership is insanely expensive so I've ordered the strutmasters kit with the error code extra. I'll report back after the install.
