  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am locked out of my trunk. I replaced the fob battery and also tried the the inside release switch. Nothing. Any help appreciated.

Try the mechanical key. That should work when all else fails.

Yes thanks that works,. The fuse that is installed is 30A for the trunk module; the owners manual says there is another one for the release solenoid, but there is no fuse present in either fuse box for that.

Looking at similar questions across the Web, a "valet lock out" button in the glove compartment is mentioned. I never knew I had one since it is not visible from the driver's seat. You have to open the glove compartment and look up under the lip where the trim pad meets the door. I must have pressed it while rummaging in the glove box this morning. Pushed it in to activate the remote features and all is well.

I did the same thing a few years ago.
