  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The percentage of 4.6 buyers on this forum is quite a bit higher than for the general population of Geneisis buyers.

What model year? 2011 or 2012?

2011 I would buy a 4.6

2012 I would buy a 3.8 tech pkg. or 5.0 r spec.

i couldn't do it because they still don't include ALL the items you get on the 4.6 standard.. plus the lower chrome appliques on the doors.

5.0 is going to cost too much to justify (for me). 5.0 is hardcore though.

4.6 Black on Black

amazing how many 4.6 vs 3.8 lol

Certainly doesn't match Hyundai's expectations which were initially set at about 20% V8 buyers!

can we get the sales split between v6 and v8???

Product planner Ricky Lao says that the previous 4.6-liter Tau V8 continues in the Hyundai sedans, though it has previously accounted for only 20 percent of sales, and the new R-Spec version with GDI will cut into that further.

I am deciding between a 2011 4.6 and a 2012 3.8 premium. Plan to test drive the 12 tomorrow and will then make the decision. I like the touchscreen nav and folding side mirrors along with the increased horsepower and 8 speed transmission on the 12. Hopefully, the suspension won't be an issue.

I will post my opinion after driving the 12.
