Appreciate the response. I saw no support with knockout points. Any suggestions? ThanksTo install the 2024 Genesis G90 front license plate bracket, first locate the bracket and mounting hardware in the trunk. Then, at the front of the vehicle, find the support behind the grille with designated "knockout points". Align the bracket's holes with these points, snap it into place, and secure it with the provided screws using a Phillips head screwdriver, being careful not to overtighten. Finally, attach the license plate to the bracket with two screws
Thanks very muchGo to 19:19 in this video... even though the title card says G80 - it is actually a 90.
I think you need to show which bracket you have as they are not all the same from my understanding. I had a heck of a time with mine (2023 G90), as I started at dusk. I assumed it was the normal sized screws, and then I found the little packet of 2 dinky finish-nail sized screws taped to the plastic bag that I overlooked. They were about 3/4" long and about the size of a small finishing brad nail. Can anyone explain how to install the factory front license plate bracket on a 2024 G90? Thanks
Thanks. The dealer where i purchased the bracket told me to use 1-1.25 inch self tapping screws. No screws were supplied with my bracket. Once I found those it all made sense, and you could see the little dimples in the front grill when you had the license plate bracket centered. The normal screws would have surely split the plastic on the grill.
Knowing what I know now about those two screws and the size of the plastic area they screw into, I’d order a new one from the Genesis parts department, wait for it to arrive and get the screws and then return the one with the missing screws.Thanks. Thanks. The dealer parts department told me to use a 1 inch self tapping screw. I will see how that goes.Knowing what I know now about those two screws and the size of the plastic area they screw into, I’d order a new one from the Genesis parts department, wait for it to arrive and get the screws and then return the one with the missing screws.
Those screws are pretty important, skinny and just the right size.
If you still have the original plastic bag it came in, I’d double check it to make sure they are not taped or stapled to the bag.
LOL…wait until you see the 2 little dimples into which you are supposed to screw that 1 inch ”self tapping screw”.Thanks. The dealer parts department told me to use a 1 inch self tapping screw. I will see how that goes.
The techs used self tapping screws and everything went perfectly. No issues. There were some pre drilled holes that lined up with the license plate bracket. ThanksLOL…wait until you see the 2 little dimples into which you are supposed to screw that 1 inch ”self tapping screw”.
It has to be a pan head so it is wide enough to hold the LP holder to the grill and not too long to start bumping into the second layer of the grill.
Sure a washer will work instead of a pan head, but try finding a washer that works with a skinny screw and still goes into the long barrel of the license plate holder.
Screw has to be pretty skinny so it doesn’t blow out the 1/4 inch-ish of hard plastic. You will even be nervous if you use a drill bit first.
When you discover these 2 screws need to be like Liam Neeson in Taken with particular qualities and skills, you will probably start thinking about bolt and nuts or zip ties. Then you will look to try and get your hands behind the grill, which will be a necessity cause your digits are not fitting in the spaces on the grill because of the two layers. Maybe a baby’s fingers fresh out of the womb, but not a grown human. Then you will open the hood to realize you have to take off a bunch of plastic to get behind the grill. Then you will start looking on Amazon for different mounts or solutions.
LOL…ask me how I know!
Good luck finding the right screws! It is not rocket science….how the hell hard can it be to put in a front LP holder on a $100Kish car? Answer: Without those 2 screws surprisingly!
Praise baby Jesus that I found those 2 screws taped to my OEM bag. Good luck.
Picture number 10 in this eBay listing shows the screws you need if you zoom in. Maybe not??? It is not the same part number.![]()

Not sure why the bag has two different part numbers but my guess would be it fits another Genesis as well. VERIFY WITH DEALER OR WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO BEFORE PURCHASING.ebay.us
The techs? Did you get Genesis to do it or do you have tech servants that follow you around? The techs used self tapping screws and everything went perfectly. No issues. There were some pre drilled holes that lined up with the license plate bracket. Thanks
Actually, Nissan master techs. Took them 10 minutes. The techs? Did you get Genesis to do it or do you have tech servants that follow you around?
“Hi Jay Leno”??
Good to hear no issues!
Wasn’t trying to exaggerate the license plate installation, but did describe what I went through for about 90 minutes until I found those damned screws by the light of the G90’s insufficient trunk light.
And not having those screws you do not lose any man points for having techs do this.
Someone should be taken out behind the wood shed for the lack of lighting in the trunk. When you open the trunk it should be like the brief case in Pulp Fiction or the Lost Ark!
