bleed

So the leather on my steering wheel us getting scuffed and now the dark brown is bleeding onto my jeans, pants and occasionally my shirt. I really don't see putting a cover on it. Any suggestions? Should I take it to an upholstery shop and see if they can re-wrap with new leather? A new steering...
