bluetooth. pairing

Hi! I just bought a mint 2013 3.8 grand touring. A major upgrade from my FRS. I cannot get my iPhone to pair up. I hit phone, settings, then pair but the "add phone" button on touch screen is not responding. Any clues?? My phones blue tooth doesn t detect the car either
