duplex

I have a 2 week old 2013 Genesis. I'm noticing that when I'm on a phone call, I have problems with full duplex. When the other party is talking, they only hear broken bits of my speech. I should expect full duplex, no? Anyone else experience this? My phone is an iPhone 5, FWIW.
