lock or buttonmechanism

Will not open when fob near but will open with fob. The button on the door handle will not open the door when pressed. It’s not the door handle. I hope this makes sense.

OK - like others on here, my 2011 3.8 has the "sticking glove box" syndrome. I tried the silicone spray to no avail. Apparently the best fix is to have the lock replaced. But I don't want my dealer to fool with it, so I want to remove it myself and then re-install it after examining (hopefully...
