lock or unlock

Will not open when fob near but will open with fob. The button on the door handle will not open the door when pressed. It’s not the door handle. I hope this makes sense.

Today I noticed that when I lock the doors the car doesn't beep. When I unlock the doors it does beep. The car usually beeps for both. I'm clueless as to why it would just stop all of a sudden. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks

Fun weekend.. Doing some work on the car this weekend I had to disconnect the battery and I shut the trunk... 30 minutes later I went to open the trunk... The lock on my 18 month old car was corroded.... I couldn't insert the key... I tried to blow the lock free and oiled it... no help...

I'd rather have it be silent and just flash the lights. Anyone know of the way to disable the chime? The manual didn't have any info on disabling the chime. Thanks!
