osx

Has anyone found a way to get a thumb drive to read via the usb port in gen/coupe. I've Re-formated into fat32 / Removed all nested folders / songs are all mp3... I've also read about removing the U3 software but there's non available for osx?? How about which Brand/size Thumb seems to work best.
