Dealer Forgot to Torque the Oil Drain Plug....

Well, as the title says, I took my car into a Franchise Hyundai Dealer on Friday for a simple oil change and they failed to tighten the drain plug properly. On Sunday night, I was rolling down the highway at 60-65 mph and I hear two knocks on the floorboard - apparently that was my drain plug...

    3.8 Spark Plug replacement

OK this is a side bar thread to the one posted in the 4.6 Tau forum regarding replacing the spark plugs. Long story short, it was discovered that replacing the plugs was going to be $400 on the V8 due to the dealer stating that the intake would have to be removed. Well since I have the V6 , I...

4.6 Spark Plug replacement at Walser Hyundai

I called the dealer to get a quote for spark plug replacement so when my car needs them changed, I have an idea of what I will be spending. They quoted $400 for the 8 plugs to be done, but the tech did mention that they have not done one yet, so the Genesis hasn't been technically priced out...

$430 for spark plug replacement for........

I just checked with the dealer and they want $430 to replace the plugs in my GF's Sonata LX V6 which runs awesome and has 60,000 miles on it. Wow little spendy but, I know I can either do it myself, or find a non-dealer to do it for less so I'm not worried. Can't imagine what the Genesis V8...
