How can I get the flying "H" off my horn/airbag? I've purchased a new "wing" badge, but, don't know how to get the old on off. Any help?

I just finished my rebadge on my silver rspec and the oval where the flying H was seems to be a completely different color. I would think the outline of the H might be different due to it not seeing light ever but the entire oval is. Attached is a pic Has anyone else experienced this?
