I find it ridicilous that yearly update costs more that brand new GPS unit in Best Buy with lifetime updates built in. There is no Android Auto provided or alternatives either. Do you know if updates purchased can be used on several cars?

I need verification on something if you have the time. In my trunk I see red and black wires running from the interior third brake light to the drivers side trunk strut. These wires seem to be spliced in just under the third brake light with splices you might use if adding aftermarket...
