I've used a Sandisk Cruzer (512 mb), Patriot Razzo (8 gig), and my new HP v165w (16 gig) and I never get the "silence" between tracks . . they play one into the other with barely any breathing room between tracks. And sometimes clip the first second of the track (another issue I found discussed...
