trunk latch stuck

As the title says the trunk access latch broken havent been able to find anything online about this or how to fix it I took off the latch itself to reveal this, anyone have any clue on how to fix this? I have no clue how it was broken.

Most of the time the trunk will not open using the button inside the car. It is supposed to open when you approach the car locked while parked. About 50% of the time it works. It will not unlock manually. The only way to open the trunk is with the key fob. The dealership said they fixed it once...

My trunk latch is apparently stuck on something inside the trunk… Probably the fabric of a green bag is my best guess. The valet lock is NOT engaged. I hear it clicking but it is stuck. Key also does not open it. I understand if I get the back seat down I can access the emergency trunk release...
