wires

I understand the wires for the sub are green and black. I am assuming the black is negative, but can anyone verify?

I need verification on something if you have the time. In my trunk I see red and black wires running from the interior third brake light to the drivers side trunk strut. These wires seem to be spliced in just under the third brake light with splices you might use if adding aftermarket...
