  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Recently rolled my 2009 . After getting better ,I got my motor going and made sure it was ok . I found a 2010 with a bad motor.
And put my 09 motor in .
It fired right up but has random misfires
I change the plugs and coils check injectors
Still miss fire
Some times it’s all , rest with my scanner then it may only be missing on 2 holes

I’m wondering if any one else ever swapped and that problem.or could shed some light on my problem

Thanks a lot

Are you using the wiring harness that was in the 2010? Did you use any of the old sensors that were in/on the 2009 motor? Not sure if that would make any difference or not, and someone else here will probably know more than I would...

I did use the harness out of the 09 and transmission just dropped it all in as one . I tried my ecm in the car but won’t even start it

I don’t know if anything changed between 2009 & 2010, but I would say there’s at least a small chance that one or more of the electrical/electronic sensors or other components that you swapped in along with the older motor might not be “talking” with the rest of the car. Just a guess, though.
