Hi I am new here.
I have an extra rebuilt unit for the Gen 1 09-12 V8, that has almost all like new parts inside of the original case.
This was supposed to be a rebuild to reman lvl, of everything inside of the original case.
This came out my 09 that had ~75k miles on it in July of this year.
The insert media option is not working for whatever reason for this post, so here is the link.

I know the video quality is bad my apologies, the master tech that took it sent it to my email and it compressed to 15mb.
The valve body appears to need a different ECM, or a different mechatronic chip within the ECM, nothing else seems to explain the exact same intermittent issue to still exist at low RPM between 20 and 40 mph, after the rebuild, when almost everything else appears to have been replaced.
The rebuild was done by a dealership's rebuilder, 3 year warranty, and all parts invoiced at $8,484. The warranty is of course no more because I had this taken out shortly after they had put it in, because there was no confidence left in them. They acknowledged that they still felt the issue, but told me to just keep driving it and go away.
Instead of trying to make them make things right, which likely would have ended up with a lot more problems added to the car, I bailed.
This unit was taken out by an actual transmission specialist shop after only a few hundred miles, because I didn't want it to take on damage from the way it was intermittently confused when shifting, especially if it had all new parts in it. I also wanted to know exactly what the dealership and their rebuilder had done, because it should not be the same if it had all new parts inside. The techs who swaped this unit out and took it apart (see video), say it is likely the valve body's ECM, and that most likely the valve body is the same one I had, but with some new parts on it. Some of the valve clips are a different color now etc, but the mechatronics are likely the same.
I currently have what is supposedly a low miles salvage in place of this unit in my car, and it seems to be what they said, but I'll probably never know. I do know what is in this unit now though, and if I could go back in time I would have had this unit taken apart first, a different known good valve body installed, and then re used this rebuilt unit that turned out to be almost what the dealership said their rebuilder had done.
If anyone has an extra storage/shipping case for one of these DM me if its not expensive.
$5,999 OBO
