  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey I have owned this 12 genesis 5.0 precious for about 8 months and it’s been doing this weird thing with the acceleration since after the first few weeks. It’s got 141k and I’ve already changed the spark plugs, throttle body, pcv valve as well as the purge. The car at times will feel like it chokes……while your driving and slow down and decide to speed back up is usually when I notice it and I haven’t had a cel light on since the beginning and I’ve plugged in my scanner but there are no codes. Someone please tell me what to do as I want to keep this vehicle

IMO, the ECUs in our cars can be a bit over-tolerant of rough running without throwing codes. If the fuel trims are unstable, check for intake/TB/manifold air leaks. Also, check your coils and injectors for proper function.

When you replaced your throttle body did it have a new TPS ? Typically a TPS with a bad spot will not set codes but can create acceleration issues.

It did not but I just purchased a new TPS and will update later this week once installed. This is the last thing I can do and hope it’s just a faulty acceleration pedal or TPS

Yes checked into all of that and everything I take out looks brand new and spotless
