I have a 2009 Genesis, which i really like, with around 175000 miles on it.... mostly thruway miles. I typically run my cars to at least 250000 miles. about 3 months ago i brought this car to my mechanic(an ex-hyundai mechanic who's started his own shop) and he diagnosed the knock in my engine without even listening to it... he said that the rear 2 pistons are slapping due to a flaw in the engine design... they're not getting enough oil splash. Ive always used mobile 1 0-20 and have never missed an oil change and was very disappointed when the dealership confirmed. this is the first car i have ever owned where the body has outlasted the engine... upstate NY. Has anyone else seen this? My wife is still driving my 2005 Honda accord Hybrid with 280000 miles on it...so i do know how to maintain a car. Anyways, just wondering...
