  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I bought my 2009 3.8L Sedan in February. It currently has 188k miles on it. I recently had to replace the alternator and battery & ever since then the car has begun to randomly cut off. Yesterday it cut off on me at least 3 times on my way home from work. I'm looking for recommendations on what the issue could possibly be. No warning lights are currently on the dash, although I did notice the battery light on briefly when it cut off the last time. I've had the alternator and battery tested yesterday & they were both good. I intended on getting new spark plugs, wires, and a distributor cap before all this happened (tune up). Could that be the issue??
Please help!!

Check the battery terminals. If they're loose, the car can exhibit the described behavior. Also check the fuseblock on top of the battery, the fusible links can develop hairline cracks which will do the same thing.

Thank you so much. I'll definitely check into that. I appreciate you!
