Today my company had a day out at the dragstrip to close out the season and I finally had a chance to bring my 09 4.6 Genny. I plan on fabing up my own custom intake and exhaust this winter and was curious to get a baseline before I start the performance modding. My girl currently only sits with the Megan coil kit and a set of 20s on terrible tires. So only performance inhibiting mods as the suspension is set to hard for weight transfer and the tires can't hook like they should but still had reasonably productive day 14.52 @ 98mph to get comfortable, then 14.45 @ 100, 14.41 @ 100 and closing out at a 14.2 @ 101. On the 14.41 pass i was lined up against a slightly modded 2013 S4 and had him at the 1/8th until he pulled past when the 4.6 had nothing left to give up top.
I left ESC on for all the runs and let the car shift itself. 14.5 and 14.45 runs were from a flat throttle after the light, 14.41 was break torqued to about 1200 at light and 14.2 was torqued to 1600 at the light. I didn't feel like pounding on the car any harder but I think it was capable of a 14.0X if i wanted to break torque a little higher since i had no wheel spin or hop problems. Hopefully I'll be able to get my projects done and on my company's dyno at some point this winter and see if I can break my 4.6 into the 13s beginning of next season.
