  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My OEM fog lights went out at 89,000 miles. I replaced them with H8 LED's as recommended and they worked great for about 5 weeks then all of the sudden both stopped working at the same time. Since LED lights don't generally fail in all of my other cars I figure this might be something else causing the issue. Any ideas on where to look?

Both lights failing at the same time indicates a fuse. So check the appropriate fuse - see owners manual.

Definitely a fuse, but the lights can fail too. My replacement ones (only replaced to get the white look) originally failed, maybe due to wrong voltage, then I replaced them again and they've been fine.

I would be extra careful in replacing the fog lights and try and use the exact OEM bulbs. I recall several threads on this forum back in 2009-2010 when people replaced with different bulbs and the extra heat melted the cardboard (or whatever) shroud around the lights.
