Shortly, about one week, after oil filter change at about 162K miles, check engine light came on. Initial computer code was P0017 but nothing was found on diagnostic examination. Check engine light was cleared. 2 days later, new check engine light. Hyundai dealer tech exam comes back with P0019 code and a laundry list of some 10 items
that could be the culprit and an estimate for the work which would require a bank loan. Check engine light was cleared and vehicle was drivable with NO outward evidence of any issue - NO t-chain noise, no issue with start, idling, acceleration, etc.. Tech explained couldn't pin down source of the code upon detailed exam. Second opinion sought from
local high-performance shop. Shop suggested to revisit the oil change and filter and explained possible source of the issue with oil and solenoids and CVV. Done. Check engine
light, fortunately and thank goodness, has not returned. Vehicle has been daily driver since with, again, no starting, performance issues. Any owner see similar with 1st Gen Genesis 3.8L at .150K miles??
