  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've got a 2009 3.8 premium plus. Curious if any other owners are noticing a squeak when closing any of the doors on the car when exiting. I say when exiting because the noise is only noticeable from the outside of the car. It sounds like something is lose or something...annoying! It happens when closing any door and it seems to be coming from the front end. I can hear it from either side of the car so it makes me think it's suspension related. Also, just got a dusting of snow here in Ohio and I have the Dunlops on with 6K on them. Seems just like old times when I had a supercharged Ford Lighting and couldn't get out of my driveway...Yikes!

Thanks for any input.

i have the same 3.8 and i have not heard any noise either, just the voices in my head, lol

Thanks for the input...guess I'm going to have to have it checked when I take it in for an oil change. The temp has dropped pretty fast the last week or so, so I guess it could be related.

Take a closer gander - is it coming from the car or the rubber door seals? From the hinge? Take the door and swing it back and forth - is the sound consistent? If so, you just need some grease on the hinge or seals. Different grease depending on what part needs it.

I don't think it's related to the doors, the noise occurs when closing all four doors and it's after the doors are closed that the noise is heard. I believe it's suspension related.
