I just purchased a 2009 Hyundai Genesis and the brake lights don't go on. I cannot seem to find the diode that people are talking about that's located on the firewall next to your left foot. Where is it ? why is it so difficult to find it?

Maybe too late but there was a recall, under warranty on a brake switch. No charge replacement part and labour.
