  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Have had a few questions about the extended warranty. I purchased it along with the brand new car from the dealer. It covers all components and all parts for 10 years or 100,000 miles. Basically "bumper to bumper" including all electonics. $100 deductible. And, yes, it is transferable by the original owner (me).

Thanks

Getting solid interest but no deal yet.

Up the ante for forum members.....$1000 off now

It's on AutoTrader for $36,750 with the extended warranty. I'm offering $1000 off for forum members. Ideally I'd like to get $36k to pay off the remaining loan. I haven't tried CarMax....I figure they would really low-ball the offer. I've had pretty good luck with AutoTrader and don't need to sell it at a "fire sale" price, so I can be somewhat patient. Have you had good/bad experience with Carmax?

Maybe try both AutoTrader and CarSoup: I had a car for sale a few years back, and had it listed on AutoTrader. I only had 3 calls on the car in 3 months. I was scolded my my 70 year old family member who stated that no one uses Autotrader anymore and I should list it on CarSoup.

I listed the car in CarSoup and had 7 calls in 1 week and sold it on week 2.:D Worth a shot.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Thanks! I'll look into that. I'm actually getting pretty good traffic on this over on AutoTrader. And, I've had a couple calls too. First one with the $$ on the table gets this great car!

OK, sports fans....let's try a slightly different approach. I'm lowering the listed price on AutoTrader to $36k....so, I'll give forum members an extra $500 off that. It seems to be taking quite a while to get updates posted on AutoTrader...but it will be there soon.

What are you asking? Have you checked what Carmax would pay you?

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered, but why are you attempting to sell your car? Any undisclosed issues?

Fair question....the answer is, no....nothing wrong at all. It's perfect. My financial circumstances have changed considerably (and somewhat unexpectedly) since I got into the car just 5 months ago and I need to take the necessary actions to reduce my monthly car payment obligation. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have done the deal on this car in the first place but I was so enamored with it (and still am) that I couldn't help myself.

It looks like it still hasn't updated on AutoTrader even though it's been a couple days. I have a call into them to find out why. The new price is $36k. They claim it takes up to 48 hours to update....well, it's been almost 48 hours. Stay tuned.

AutoTrader tells me they are having a problem getting my ad updated and they have "escalated" it to their IT department. It's now been over 3 days since I lowered the price to $36k and they can't seem to get it to update for some reason. Problem is, the IT guys don't work weekends or holidays. So, it looks like it will be Tuesday at the earliest. In any event, for forum members, the price is $35,500. It's a steal at that price.

Maybe the non-owner here who prattles on and pontificates endlessly about the Genesis should seize this opportunity. It might enhance his qualifications for making frequent pronouncements about engineering trivia.
